why some object filp when I import 3DS to maya?
It is driving me crazy!!!

Flip on axis or the polys are flipped?

I havent had that happen yet myself....

I also import 3 files from 3dmax to Maya. I didn't observe any flipped poly or object. I did observe that the objects size becomes much greater when they are in Maya and you have to spend some time to readjust the lighting and texture. But the model itself is fine. I used BonusTool 5.0 to import.

I guess that is due to the fact that Maya is Y-up and Max is Z-up oriented.
Or the exporter you use takes care of that issue or the user does.
