View Full Version : Texture/light/render Character - Montparnasse
Montparnasse 05-18-2002, 03:36 PM Here is the reporter....what might be in his mind at this moment, hah?....
What do you think about the lightening, is it okay or how can I make it better and why...?
My fontproblem (blurry font) really had to do with compression/bad colorcombinations, that was right....
Any other commands are always welcome...

P.S.:
Because of the upload limit of 50000bytes here, the image is 640x480 and not very sharp at all, the original is 800x600 and much more sharper...if anybody want to see the original, mail me under wild.pete@bluewin.ch

So he's embarassed ? A bluryer red allover his face would work a littel better. It kinda look likes he got cuts all over this face.
The shirt looks like it might need some falloff. Also his face seems a bit symetric, by his age he'd at least have a little drooping, eyes etc. and noone realy can smile semetrically :D
On the Lighting- It seems ok, but not really mooody etc. What emotion where you going for, this will guide your lighting. A bit of color goes a long way as well.
In PS whenever you interpolate(make image smaller biger etc.) you'll need to use an unsharp mask or somthing to make it a bit shaper again.
See you,

MUHAHAHAHA
He's funny!
Yeah, and use another background, preferably consistent of one color and lit, not with this bluescreen look. It takes much of the characters apperance.
Keep the girl and the headline, skip the rest.
Move the reporter a little bit to the left.
Just my 2 cent :D

@bibi5000: I will test other backgrounds, the blue makes the feeling of the image too cold, yes? And too much text and color in the Background will change too much the subject...
But the Hint to the Nude Girls must stay, because thats the reason of his red face...
@I_farley13_l: First, what a Nickname, looks like a password...;-), thx for the tips, you are completely right too...the main-emotion I want is, that the reporter can't control his embarrassement (his wet dreams) at all, no chance...
If I look at the TV, the news-reporters are always light out too stable, with no shadows or so, that I didn't want under no circumstances...
I will chance the symmetry of the face a bit (drooping eyes, good idea) and test more blurry red in the face...
...and thx for the PS-hint...
I will come back soon
