Hi there just wanted to share a new character I'm working please let me know what you think. Also I have a problem with shading on the main body area on the face I tried both polys and now it's in subdiv and it's still showing up that uneven look, anyone know what could be causing that?

I like the model , especially the shoes ,

are you going to animate the model? ,

Happy rendering.

Ps : just an idea , instead of GI like rendering , i would suggest lighting the pumpkin more moody , some lighting that will reflect its personality.

Thanks and Ya I'm going to animate it and texture it, the model is going to be in a castle scene and it's lit in a moon blue type of a color so it's going to be a very nice contrast to the orange of the pumpkin guy.

heh nice design. I particularly like the modeling you have done on the shoes. They look great. Can't wait to see it textured!

I like this character. Pretty cool guy. I like the pumpkin knees.

I took a look at your site. Pumpkin guy is the best thing, I think. The other stuff looks good, but this guy has the most character.

One thing.....you shouldn't mention it took you 6 months to do that plane. In addition to expecting good models, a prospective employer will also want to see that it's all done in a timely manner.

-- Oh, one more thing. You might want to give him a little bit more of a shoulder mass, so your character's arms could rotate a bit better without pinching at the intersection of pumpkin and arm.

Good luck!

needs crack

needs to have big ass crack by axe

Arms way too Jesus(swore I seen him a coupla times).. Makes for less good binding..

Maybe make his arms and legs more viny or woody...

I was wondering where I left my sneakers after I smoked some good s**t.....

Damn pumkin man stoled it...

It's cool!! Maybe some lights behind his eyes that flicker. And an orange glow around him or something. :)

Thanks guys for the great comments,

ACFred where did you see that it took 6 months? the reason I'm asking is because it hadn't and I don't remember saying that.

CraqueSmeaukre

what do you mean Jesus arms hehe a bit more detail would help thanks.

Has anyone noticed a bad shading on the main body in the front there are these horizontal lines I'm not sure why they are there I played with edge smoothing and even converted it into subdivs that's what it is on this picture and they're still there, I'm thinking maybe it's the lights causing some kind of a shadow I'll have to play with it.

Thanks again everyone.

Hey Bart,

Sorry, I totally misread your WWII plane project description. I guess that's what I get for looking at it when I was half asleep.

I figured it didn't take 6 months to make those models.

Keep up the good work.

Regards,

Alec

raptor: now that you mention it I notice that shading problem. I had similar problems in lightwave until I 1)turned up AA and 2) turned on shading noise reduction

maybe you can approach the problem this way

I'll have to see what I can do with that because I'm using Maya so maybe I'll be able to find some parameters I can tweak.
