View Full Version : my FIRST post here...
PsychoSilence 08-20-2003, 06:55 PM i textured this head i downloaded here at CGs. so i did NOT model it. just the texture and postpro was made by me in photoshop and then attached to the model. I did the bump-map, the bloody "zombiestyle"-texture and finally some displacement.
the tatoo kinda drawing on his head was made after rendering in photoshop and still needs some attention, i know...
that was what i came up with:

hey and welcome in. I like the glowy eyes, but don't you think there's a bit too much happening on that head? it needs a little less action and more of a focus. with those bright eyes and all that color it's hard to tell what to look at.
enjoy it here. this place is great...

Hy Iggy ! thank you for your kind welcome and the tipps ! I will re-do my texture map. maybe the rotting is a lil too heavy...
I must say that i do 3d for about a year but at first was just fooling around boxmodelling. i think thatīs the way we all started once :) *sight* now after a year i train myself in nurbmodelling and some advanced texturing...right now i do a lot of postpro still in photoshop like the tatoo and some color correction...
just if you like you can have a look at my porfilio site www.psychosilence.de it is in german but i think the navi and images speak for themselves... usually i do flyer and webdesign for techno partys... :buttrock:

tryout on rotten skin:
http://images.deviantart.com/i/4/f/3/skin_rotten_tex_study_3.jpg
its really nice don't get me wrong dude.
However I feel that it kinda lacks that skin like quality that makes skin, skin.
I think you would be very well off to check out the skin threads that are posted in the sub-forums.
Also for the last rotting one its cool and all but the areas with red blood should have a higher spec and maybe some reflection or enviroment map.
The colors are right but the multi layered qualty+certain specular elements is stopping this image from being more than just a eye candy.
Believe me dude if you can get those textures worked out you will have one HELL of an image.
