hi ..

can someone please post a complete list with all possible render passes that can be produced with vray for maya ?

like:
color
shadow
AO
GI
...
( glow pass? )

can they be stuffed into .exr files ?


would be a great thing !

and i think they can be added to multi layer exr but i don't know it for sure :)

just a note that the extra tex node is what you use for Amb Occlusion, with a VRay Dirt texture.

Holy crap! Just looked into what the MultiMatte does. Someone with the programing knowledge needs to make a similar Mental Ray "write to color buffer" script pronto! This could save lives!


I really hope Autodesk is taking note of how Vray's passes render out so I don't have to do all the manual setup. I'm just not ready to make the switch yet, especially after I figured out how to do this yesterday:
