A friend took a look at the previously posted version and the first thing that came out of her mouth was "To be or not to be?!" So naturally I'm seeing how going in that direction would turn out. Possibly the stuffed Yoda head would be the source of the skull (to be fashioned in more of a Yoda like shape, of course...)

lovely illustration! very nice proportions.
But sorry for being boring but it kinda anoys me that the lightsaber is treated like a metal sword and not a lightsaber...I mean you wouldn't be able to lean against it...
I know; I hate myself for letting me be bugged by these things but I can't help it, it pulls me straight out from the otherwise perfect painting.
And to continue my boring reality, if that is the skull the ears shouldn't really be there. I think its quite clear enough whos'e skull it is anyway if you remove them...

hehe, Cal I totally understand your point on the whole lightsaber issue. I've been going back and forth between the idea of having the saber look like it's penetrating/melting the floor to perhaps help with its 'realism'

I'm a little late, here, but what the heck...

Looking at the story, I actually prefer the stuffed Yoda, as it sells the idea of 'kid' better (imho). That being said, I do like the Hamlet thing you have there... tough to reconcile the two.

On the topic of the saber, try it with the floor melting a bit, perhaps a little vapor/steam from the floor. I'd like to see the two ideas together and see which jumps out.
