Hi everyone,

I'm actually working on a little solo project by my free time to sum up and make the point on my skills.
Basically, it's based on the last trailer of TMNT

My idea is to go throw my particular pipeline to produce such a short movie like this trailer. You can follow the progress right here

It's actually in French, but as it will soon migrate to a blog, I'll make it in english or in both langage.
Anyway, at this time, you'll find two stills of my character and the animatics.

It's all very rough as I was studying the rythm and camera movement/position.
So feel free to critics those points !

Thanx dude.

from what i can tell the first drop would kill anyone, they only jump from roof top to roof top from what i can remember. next on the camera move kinda long when it gets to the character there's no anticipation on the jump ie: jumps up then down. i would review the shows more to better plan out the shots.

well first thank you,
Actually I hoped this fall would be OK as it's a ninja turtle, but you're right, in any other case, it would killed anybody.
As I've got to details a lot more the animatic as it seems it is too rough, maybe this fall will finally be shorter, or using a rope or something... time will tell

Anyway, as I show it to some friend, it looks like all I wanted to show wasn't clear enough, which is the reason of my detailing step...

About the long camera move, yeah, it's long right now, but once again, it misses details I've got in my head. Basically, it's a move through advertising panel and other stuff you can find on big city's roof.
About the lack of anticipation before the jump, actually, I don't aim a jump as I've got a long fall, he's just falling down. But your answer make me think it misses something so far.

Well, in order to conclude, I'd better purpose something more advanced at the animatics stage so that no details I wanted to show is missing (like advert panel for example).

So that's my next stage, use the right charracter, make real poses, timing, and stage stuff I wanted to be see.

Well once again thank you. I'll see you in a couple, with a more advanced work based on all that.
