Hi got 2 problems in MR
1. When i enable caustics the scene is ALWAYS very dark ! it doesn't matter how high ich set the photon energy in the light preferences....... i don't know why !?! ( normally i use a spotlight)

any tips or tuts where MR'S caustics is described ?

2. Well GI is kind of tricky too (for me ;) when i create a Gi light (usualy Spotlight too) and let the emited photons as they were ... i think standart is 1000 the there are always big round fragments in the scene ... by fragments i mean you nearly can see where everey singel photon hits there it creates a circle with the same illumination intensity ..... looks kind of shitty ... i tried to increase the GI photon'S but then the rendering times are unacceptable!

would be nice if someone could give me help or info's where i can find it

ps: The Mr Online help sucks ! :annoyed:

I've been playing around quite alot with MR for awhile, and I think I could help you out, BUT could you first post all the settings you used? I mean the MR settings in the lights, and the MR rendering globals settings.

Thank you :)

Have you tried pumping up the intensity of the light rather than just the photon count? Also, what type of light are you using?
