I would create a little more "organic" spiderman that Tobey Maguire takes to screen. In the next day, i will begin the UV edit and rigging, if anyone suggests a detail, a miss, anything..

Here's a wireframe, 5522 quad without subD.

And a detail on the web torso, made in subD too..

All done in XSI 3.5

Nice muscles You got there :). Seems making the web was time-consuming.... how it was done? Something about bridge tool is floating in my head, but still, it'd take time..

Spectacular!!!

That's quite an exceptional piece of modeling. I love how you handled the geometry to achieve a high level of anatomical realism, First rate work.

Can't wait to see him in ACTION!!

really nice modeling u have there lm a bif fan of spidey........maybe a little too muscular but anyway great work and for the web u should try to made them by displacement map..................because u will have a lot of fun to skin him if u let u web design as a geometry.............Great skills:)

The musculature is awesome! Now, i know he's wearing a skin tight suit...but should it really be THAT skin tight?! It almost looks like hes not wearing any pants. I dont think the spandex riding up his butt crack or squeezing his testicles would be too comfortable...might hinder his ability to fight crime a bit.

Everything looks great....except for his butt.

It looks like he's got on a thong, dunno if you're done with that part or not, but i'd lose the butt crack entirely. No one wants to see super hero crack. :p

GOOD JOB. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS TEXTURED. LOOKS LIKE WITH GOOD TEXTURING THIS COULD MAKE FRONTPAGE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORKS.

Thaks a lot for suggestions and comments, you push me to continue the hard work and remodel many details.
For the web technic, sorry for deception, but it's all about very classic: cylinder primitive betwen eyes, extrud, and bridge. Bevel for finish. I wanted to use displace, but i couldn't wait for the UV.
My lack of patience maybe cost me hard work when rigging.

It will probly be fine if you weight the web to the mesh rather than the skeleton.
And great model by the way.

Hey this is fantastic. I think you did a great job on spidey, except one thing...
We should not be seeing his butt crack like that.
I'm not sure that any spandex material would conform that closely to the body.
But other wise.... wow!!!

FANTASTIC!!!! I can't WAIT to put this textured model as my wallpaper! :buttrock:

There is something about his butt though....I can't quite pin point it tho?! It looks like he's flexing it...or maybe it looks like he's nekkid?

This is just too sweet for words. The anatomy is spot on although maybe just a tad too muscular for Spidey although I think it still works the way you have it. As other people have said, the spandex up the ass crack may be unnecessary but I guess when you have been climbing walls and swinging from building to building and getting into weird positions like spidey does, your pants might eventually find their way into your ass! :applause: The webbing is very nice but looks like it was unnecessarily time consuming and looks like it will give you some problems when comes the time for animation but I guess you don't have a problem with that. I can't wait to see this guy textured and posed in a mid-swing positon with webbing shooting from his webshooters and a cityscape in the background. Let's see if you can outdo the CG spidey from the movie. The way it looks right now, I definitely think you have a good chance.

I'm currently on editing UV's. During this time, i've tested quickly a colored version from a render region snapshot, made under a 2D application, just to see where I go..

isn't the webbing supposed to be black with a little specular on it for the shine? Yours looks almost like it's made of chrome

Yeah, the webbing should be black! Not chrome. A little shine to it maybe.

Also, where's the webbing for his thumbs??? :D
You neeeeed that webbing!
