Hi All,
I'm studying architecture and haven't done any serious modelling/rendering before due to lack of capable tools. I have a major project deadline coming up in 2 weeks.

I was wondering if you all could advice me or forward me to tutorials on the best way to populate a scene with trees, vegetation and grass etc? I have never done this before. What's the easiest/fastest way to achieve this. Maybe 3D is not the way to go?

I'm equally good at working with Max as with Maya. Is there another software you recommend? I've never used Vue btw but if its recommended and there isn't much learning curve, I wouldn't mind trying it. I'd really appreciate the help.

Over at the Area, you can search through the 3ds Max tutorials how to paint objects (similar to Maya's PaintFX) with Particle Flow or you can use this:

You can do the grass with Hair and Fur Modifier.
