All,

I am having a strange problem. I am getting ready to give my animators an updated version of my rig and when I open the file on another computer. It seams that all my parent relationships have disappeared!?

The computer everything works on is running Maya 2009 on XP.

The computer that ignores the parenting relationships is Maya 2009 on Vista...

Do you guys have any ideas?

I literally go to pick up all my CTRL objects (in Vista computer) and none of my parenting relationships work. They are still parented, by do not move the child objects...

Very confused, thanks for any ideas...

shot in the dark here , check the name spaces on the references

Its not the name spaces unfortunatley because I did not import it as a reference. I opened the exact same project folder on a different computer.

All constraints are working fine, parenting relationships are there, but are not working... for example if shoulder FK is rotated, elbow FK does not follow correctly in the same orientation...

Thanks fro any more ideas...

O.k. its Maya on the Vista computer but has nothing to do with vista. I opened a completely new file. Try to parent a Poly Sphere to a Poly Cube just to test parenting.

PARENT initiates! But nothing happens to the child when I move, rotate, or scale the PARENT!

Hell is FReezing over! :)

Any ideas?!

Thanks!
