Hi,

one week ago I finished my alien head. What do you think of it?

Pretty nice concept, but what does it do?

Pretty nifty textures, any BP used? I think the eyes would be improoved signifigantly if they were a bit more inspired by anmals (model the anatomical features of a cat's eye for example, and make sure index is about 1.33)

What's the purpose of th that thing instead of his mouth? Maybe a bit more detail in the mesh to hint at it's use.

Let's see the body :),

Hi,

what do you mean by what does it do? This is just a head. It will turn and move. Just like any other head too. :)

Cheers

Yes, I used bodypaint only. Works best. Body wonīt follow. This was made for my university.

Actually, I am not a modeller at all. I am programming plugins for c4d most of my time, so I am pretty proud of that thing.

The mouth? Donīt know. Is this important to an alien? :)

Cheers

speaking of which, anything in production you can hint at??? I've got a few boring ones in mind that I could use.

No bad at all. Is that his beak or mouth, the big thing in front? If it is I suggest some discolouration as the lips move into the inside of his mouth.

Very nice texturing :)

It reminds me of a Squid somehow, and I think the mouth would be up inside the tentacle bits. You could put nasty looking teeth up there as well :)

You can see all of them on my website: www.the3ddesigner.de
But attention, itīs german! ;)

Thank you very much. It really takes a lot time.

@kiwi: Yeah a lotta people say they recognize a squid. But it came just out of my mind. Has probably no sense. :)

well seing as I have 73 plugins or so right now, and one, the plugin manager is something I have mentioned a few times a postforum. Thankyou thankyou thankyou.

and I assume the Easy vertex one manages vertex maps or something. Very cool.

I love your plugins, would buy eye lasher, but have no money. I think my list of plugins to buy when I finish school is getting too high.

hi,

yes Easy Vertex manages vertex maps. You got all your maps listed, and can select a map and rename it. Also creating a new map is possible.

Pluginmanager was created because I have a lot of plugins myself (about 80 now). The good thing about it is, that you wonīt have to put them into the plugins folder of cinema 4d. You can, with the help of the reload button in the console, load a plugin (only coffee plugins!) only when you need it. And you have got an icon for every plugin. Cinema 4d starts then a lot faster and doesnīt take that much RAM.

Swwet, as for the issue with reloading coffe only when I have 74 or so plugins, will there be an easy and quick way to sort out which are cogffe and which are C++ without have to look into each folder?

Hi,

You can copy all folders from the plugins folder into the pluginmanager folder, and the pluginmanager will only take the folders that contain a coffee plugin. No problem.

BUT as you want your c++ plugins to stay in the cinema plugins folder, you have to look into each folder to sort out the c++ plugins that will stay in the cinema plugins folder. But that shouldnīt be hard, for the c++ plugins always end with .cdl, .mdl or.xdl.

Hmm, do you mean by that how much they will cost? Isnīt set yet. But when you look at my other plugins you will see they arenīt very expensive. Wonīt be different for those.
