View Full Version : Id map and stuff HELP

hey guys

iam having a problem... i dont know what to do....
it is for a game and we are using Alchemy as the engine


I have a level iam making and i have split op the mesh i to
1-2-3 id material... number 1 (mud texture) number 2 (grass texture) number 3 (mud and grass texture)

but know i want to put a shadow map on it
how do i do that

and cant use blend and composite

plz help

I'm not familiar with the Alchemy engine, but I'm using an engine that also does not support composite/blend maps so I'll ask this question:
Does Alchemy support multilayered maps? The engine that we use (which is Macromedia Director's shockwave3d) allows up to 8 textures in a single shader, but these have to be layered in code. If your engine has a simliar support issue, you may need to bring the shadow map in seperately and apply it in code.

This may not help you in the slightest, but that's my suggestion.:)
