dedicated to my mom

It was so hard "for me" to capture this endless emotion .. donno if am there yet ..

It's been many years now, Mom,
since the day you went away;
Yet it all seems like just last night,
I watched you fade away.

Mom, when you closed your eyes,
a smile came upon you face.
You had planned to be with Dad,
already in a better place.

Miss all the things you did for us,
and taught us one by one,
about The Lord God up above,
and of Jesus his own son.

We'll soon be together in heaven,
Mom, you can show me around.
You can show me all your flowers,
and all the friends you found.

That is very sad and touching. The feeling is there.

I dont like the text though, it kinda ruins the feeling. The text makes the image too obvious. It works nicely as a title for this image, but I would not place it in the image itself.


..but very nice piece nevertheless

great atmosphere

but the right shoulder looks kinda weird, perhaps its the lightning :shrug:

I like the pose, although it looks like he isn't putting the weight of his head on his left arm. Don't know why. Maybe he needs more tension in the muscles.

Also, while I like the camera angle I think it would be nice if you could give the viewers a hint on what kind of room this is. Right now it seems to be a huge hall with a large carpet. But I think the scene would rather happen in a smaller room, or at least one with more furniture, even if it's only partially visible in the picture.
