Turning and image into particles ?

DF's native particle suite has an image emitter under v4.x but there is still no way to contrain the particles to a path.

You might want to check out DOTs from www.fusioneers.net, as it does allow particles along a path. However I do not know if it will take an image as an emitter.

Just be aware that these 2 systems are completely different, and do not work with one another.
