View Full Version : character WIP : Bots refilling
Biohazard 08-19-2003, 06:05 AM Hi !
The bots are still WIP (Specially the wheel one) but it's quite close to the end concerning the bark and the flower... Nothing to light the scene except the P. Debevec's well known (rnl_probe.hdr ). I still have some work on that too...
Is the displace too fluffy ? More falloff / self-illu needed on the flower ?
Rendered with Vray on 3dsmax5.1 (and I know, the BG is awfull...)
C&C appreciated.

Ha! Very nice :D
Maybe some subtle 'glowing' over the edges of the lighter colours (the flower, the bot and the top of the branch, for instance) where the sunlight hits the surface. I still can't visualise exactly what the bot looks like when it moves and does stuff, i understand it's not finished though. The displacement looks okay too me :) Are you going to texture the bot further, or keep it simple?
Oh, the wire image links seems to go to the same image :)

nice concept! (I suppose the bot is about to refill the flower?)
I think the background is too pixellated, and maybe a little too blurry. And the flower seems really attached to the trunk, he just appears to be floating in front of it.
looking forward to the update!

Yes, I'll put some big light spots and ehance the whole bright areas with a bit of blur.

Ideally, I'd need to do the BG by myself. I'm looking forward about that. Actually, It's a bocage with a moose exactly at the center of the pic. ;)
Thx guys.

I've updated the picture (first message).
The pose isn't clear enough I think (The bee refilling the bot)...
Actually, it won't cut the flower, it's just a tool. I need to had some more.
