View Full Version : Set driven keys in A:M???
Shazam3D 08-19-2003, 01:42 AM Hi spliners:
The question is: Is possible to do "set driven keys" like Maya or something like this in A:M easily? Some example or tutorial?
Thanks.

Hi LocoMan,
I´m a non Maya user too, but I found a tutorial about this in:
http://www.esmaya.org/tutoriales/set_driven/driven.html (in spanish)
I think that it's easy to do with the pose tools and constraints of A:M, more easy than Maya.

I seem to remember Raf mentioned set driven keys in his first video tape set when he was describing smartskin.
I'll check to be sure and post the exact phrase, but only if I come across it quickly , as it is a three tape set and I'mm not going to sit through all of it just to be sure

Relationships in A:M are basically equivalent to set driven keys... but easier to use.
create a relationship for any animatable property... adjust that property to any value you might like, and then adjust any other properties you might like that property to adjust at the given value.
easy as one two three.
I know of a good book that has an entire chapter devoted to this very topic :deal:

Thanks folks!
David, a good description of the function that I was looking for, I understand it now.
I have this book, but I don't think that is a good book. I think that is a very, very, very good book :buttrock:
I must to read this chapter concientiously.
Thanks again.
JM.
