View Full Version : Organic rigging without connected joints (or with limited connected joints)

Most rigs I've seen have a single skeleton of bones and joints. However, I have read about rigs having limited connected joints that rely more on constraints, clusters, blendshapes, expressions, locators and dynamics. What are your thoughts on this approach? Have you tried it? It seems like there might be an advantage in flexibility and no need to worry about joint orientation.

Thoughts?
