I hope this is the right place to ask... I basically want to know if there is a way to mirror tweaks that i've created on one side of a symmetrical model onto the other? In Mudbox you can just flip a duplicated layer. I painted a lot of detail onto one hand of a character but I did it while the other was hidden. I didn't realize that hiding half would make my tweaks not work symmetrically.

So also, is there a way to hide half and still have symmetry work?

Mask of the part with the added detail then use Smart Resym. You can't use symmetry while one side is hidden but masking and smart resym works.
