View Full Version : Motion Builder: Extra Bones For Pants?

Can someone tell me if this is possible with MotionBuilder, or how you'd go about approaching this problem?

In 3ds max, I have a character who has rather wide pants legs at the opening where the feet come out. Like bellbottoms. I'd like to skin the openings with extra bones so that the pant leg can have secondary motion against the movement of the ankle. My question is, would I be able to set up these bones in max, skin them there, and then once imported, be able to manipulate them in MotionBuilder so that I can see the effect while I animate in MB?

Thanks. Sorry, I don't have any experience with importing and exporting models into motionbuilder, etc.
