View Full Version : help needed animating a crab
stevecullum 08-18-2003, 02:30 PM I am trying to create a simple crab walk animation, (if there is such a thing - so many legs to keep track of!) and was wondering if anyone had a link to a tutorial or video footage that I could use.
It doesn't have to be Photorealistic as its for a childrens educational title.
Any help is much appreciated - cheers!

I doubt you're gonna find a tutorial on making a crab-walk animation, but as far as reference goes, a quick goolge search turned up this site: http://www.junglewalk.com/video/Crab-movie.asp The very first video is of a fiddler crab walking and is good for reference. I didn't go through any of the others, but there's probably some more good ones in there too.

Cheers Mike, thanks for the link. Strangely when I tried the same search earlier I didn't get these results.
The internet works in mysterious ways!
you're located in England which might use a different google database (I'm not sure if England would being english speaking and all:D but other areas certainly do).
