I've been rigging a horse character, and I finished the rig for his body but when I tried to rig the face, my geometry kept shifting. I think there may be something wrong with my bind pose, or the spline IK on the spine is pulling the head out of place, but when I turn off the IKs Maya still won't return the character to the bind pose. Because the head keeps shifting when the character is bound, I can't use blendshapes or influence objects, since they then awkwardly pull the geometry back into its original position. I also tried disconnecting the neck joint from the spine so it wouldn't be affected by the spline IK any more, but the geometry still shifts position when it's bound. If anyone knows anything that could help me, I would really appreciate it.
