I have spent many hours rigging/modeling this character, I am have alot of trouble with weighting the point and the joints after the bind. I have watched DT tutorials on it but I cant seem to get it right I have spent so much time on this character I was hoping someone with a little more experience could maybe do it for me or at least help me out, thanks.

Personal Message me if you want to help and I'll send you the project file thanks again!

Hi FalineFarwell,
There seems to be a lot of ambiguity about your question, and how it's worded.
I think what you need is help with using the Skin >Edit smooth Skin > Paint weights tool.

Am I correct?

If so, the best way to begin learning that is to read up on the Paint Weights tool. It's the main interface for setting the weight of vertices to joints. The good news is that you only have to paint the weights for one half of the model. Use the Skin > Edit smooth skin > Mirror Skin weights tool to mirror the weights over to the other side.

I hope this gets you on track.

Sorry, I cannot perform the weighting for you. Good Luck!

I would also suggest reading the docs.
I made a post just the other day in regards to weight painting

http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=88&t=824762

There are a number of tools out there to help with the process of weight painting. Just relax spend a bit of time and do the research first. That little bit of time researching can save you more time in the end that you would have lost being fustrated at the wieghts.

there is also a Sticky post at the top of these forums on Painting Weights.

Thanks for your advise.
I am still struggling with the weighting and my deadline in 3 days I haven't gotten anywhere. I am now having even more problems with the rig, the cloths the the character are moving all around now. I really need some help with this or someone to take a look at it.

if your model is not that complex, ie I am thinking that your model should be seemless (all one piece), you may be having problems with your weighting due to bad joint placement or edgeloops. But that is hard to tell from the top most image. If you are using a newer verision of Maya you can use the show bones on top and show wireframe on shaded and take a screen shot of the problem area you are having. I would also suggest that if you are new to weight painting and skinning to start off easy and change your settings when you bind to

Max Number of Infulences: 2 or 3
Drop off 6.0

This will reduce most of your issues when you smooth bind the model.

I would also suggest that you start with Skinning the character before rigging the character as that will almost always cause problems. (not always just a large percentage of the time.)
