I've been stumped with this fella for awhile now...

http://www.phenix-nm.com/random/uc_rig.jpg

His eyes are not spheres for one, they are deformed spheres. I tried to overcome that with a FFD spacewarp, which worked, until the character itself started deforming. He can bend, twist, stretch, etc...and the FFD would not follow all of this properly, effectively totally ferking the eyes again. Then I thought another solution may be to make the pupil a separate object, and constrain it to the surface of the eyes, but to date, I have not been able to work that solution either.

Do any of you have any thoughts?

I apologize if the image is too large, I didn't think of that, and I am not at work right now so I cannot make another :-\

Thanks

If it is possible you might try placing an editable mesh modifier on the top of the characters stack. In that way the FFD warp for your eyes has that top level mesh to use.
