Hey,

Here are some muscle cars I have been working on lately. These are some of my best models. Keep in mind, like my Camaro Concepts, these too were created in Zmod, with the notion of using them in a 3d racing game, so the cars have to be low poly in order to work. These arent renders, these are straight Zmod screenshots(Since zmod cannot render). All these cars have been created within the last month. I have to leave most of these as links, since there is a picture limit.

A Base model I made for someone else to finish: It is finished on my part, but as a whole is incomplete. I just completed my part of the car earlier today.

Here is a post on another forum that displays all my older models I have created before these most recent cars, all merged together on my showroom I created(that the AMX is also sitting in). http://forum.mm2c.com/viewtopic.php?t=4804

It is alot of pictures(3 megs worth, 56kers beware), and I did not want to post a topic here about them, since they are so old, but those of you who are interested in my work can check them out. These are all the models I have created in the past couple years(Give or take a couple).

Please leave comments about my cars. Dont be too critizing, remember, these have to be low poly, and are not renders. Dont expect them to live to to models that have 5 million polys and have been rendered using the latest software and techniques.

Thanks for the comments.

I use Z modeler to create my models. (Http://www.zmodeler.com) Its a utillity to get 3d models into game formats so you can play your car in the game of your choosing.

I posted links to the wireframes. Below the pics of the cars.

Here are a few for those who cant click links ;)

I can't click links as well :p Very nice cars, reminds me of a lot of Midtown Madness stuff. Very cool, I've had a brush with Zmod and didn't like it so it's refreshing to see one use it so well.

Cheers

muscle car rules... not like those damn little imports...

that javelin amx is awesome...
those car would be so great in vice city.

nice modeling nice subject.

2 suggestions - pontiac gto
- nova ss
and you could also make those muscle car even greater if they had the air intake outside the hood with the 3 red holes, i love those ones.

element

ps. have you seen the new pontiac gto?? gonna be great.

Looks great! There are few areas where the mesh could be optimized a bit further and refined better for environment reflections etc to work properly, but that's just nitpicking. And of course that depends largely on the game engine as well..

Sweet stuff.

Those look great. You should make some hot rods. Perhaps a '36 Ford Coupe!

exellent low poly work! I think they look as good as if they were high poly. I also like the "factory" colors you chose.

Thanks for the comments

Aevium Viemme: Funny you should mention Midtown Madness, that is the game I used to release my lower poly cars for, before I just started using zmod for modeling.

element412: Actually, Ive already made both of those cars. Ive made 65 and 67 GTOs, 68 and 74 Novas. All of those are lower poly/detail than these newest cars I have posted in this topic, but still have a great amount of detail for their polycounts(less than 3k). Ive modeled the intake you speak of on some of my cars before, the best one being on an Audi A4 Dragster(seen here: http://www.spline-designs.com/members/audi.jpg).

Ive seen the new GTOs, Ive thought about modeling one, but Im not really impressed with the car. When Pontiac said they were going to launch a new GTO, I had invisioned a completely new car, that at least had SOME styling cues from past GTOs. Instead we get a rebadged holden.. :annoyed:

Spikey: Hehe, you are the first to say my models could be optimized more. I generally try to model using just enough polys to pull off the effect Im aiming for, I hate wasted polys.

T Bomb: Ive made a couple hot rods before. I even have one I designed myself. It is really low poly, around 1700 polys for the model.

This is so low poly because I made and released this for Midtown Madness.

I'm not a lowpoly artist, so I can't really appreciate the work put into these vehicles, but I do appreciate your choice for vehicles! Spot on :-)
