Hi all,

one of my first threads here.. I started this because I always have trouble finding right reference for every model I texture. Right now I'm skinning an M16A2, one of the most known guns in the world and I can't seem to find good reference for it. All the pics are taken sideways, are much too low-res so I can't see the details.. I'm getting utterly frustrated by this.

How do other texture guys, you, handle the search for reference?

Well I usually take my digital camera and go get pictures of the things I want. I also just get low res shots from the internet and then hand paint what I want in photoshop.

hmmm... well sometimes I just hit the local library, find a few pics, and start painting in Photoshop :) good luck!
