View Full Version : Edge light bleed using passes or in comp?

Hey compositors!
I am curious how you can add a light bleed around an edge of an object that you see in photographs and video that are shot heavy sunlight.

Steve twist does a good job with this here:

It's also pretty apparent on the left side in this picture:

I don't mean lens flare.

I am a 3d artist so if any compositors out there with knowledge of 3d passes or ways to do it without including it directly in the render could help me out that would be AMAZING.

On the picture, it looks like a number of things like a flare, strong lighting and especially what you're after : light wrap.

Im too lazy to write anything atm so I googled lightwrap, and this showed up :
