What is the best way to begin with a texture, to take a huge high res pic paint the texture and after resize it to the correct resolution or pain in rel resolution from the begining??

A don't know exactly how to start.

I would definitely start with a high res pic. For example if u have to make a line that is 1 pixel wide in a 512 texture u will have a 4 pixel wide line in a 1024 texture, itīs very boring to work with one pixel brushes, and some of the tools in for example Photoshop just do a better job on larger amount of pixels.

yeah someting like that

it depends on the texturesize and level of detail.
if you have small 1 pixel details i would do it in the original size or edit them after the scaling. by scaling from douplesize you will never get the pixel how you want it.

There's a whole sticky thread on this subject right in this exact forum. You're better off searching for answers on general questions like this yourself instead of posting the question. The real pros that can give an in depth, lengthy answer aren't going to want to repeat themselves every time someone asks the question again. But you can find their answer the first time they gave it with a little bit of effort on your part.

I saw that thread after putting my own.

Soooorrry for all the problems that caused my stupidity.

Well, and after that, FATASSASIN, are you feeling better?? Could you tell things with a little more care. I do make efforts in getting things, not that pointy speech is wanted though, you don't know me, so be more correct and try to help, not to give lessons.

Don't stress over it dude. I'm sure you've had the experience of writing something and then somebody taking what you wrote differently than how you meant it. It's the nature of the medium. Just because I don't put exclamation points and smiley faces at the end of my post doesn't mean I don't care. If I wasn't trying to help I wouldn't have gone through the trouble and opened up the link to the other thread, copied it, and posted it so that you would know about it.

You know that saying, "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, but teach him to fish and feed him for lifetime"? I'm just trying to teach you how to fish. :)

Sorry for misunderstanding your words. I REALLY didn't want to start a war.

I apologize
