How do you use mel to open file browser and be able to parse the selected image for x and y pixel value of the image into a variable?

Is fileBrowserDialog the right way?

So you want the resolution data to be available on file selection in the browser? Or when the user opens the image?

Yes i want the resolution of selected file to be stored inside variables within a procedure.

Other method im thinking is to use the path to file as directory in a maya file node and use out size x and y from there to get the image size values.
