CGTalk - faster edge tool?

is there any possibility how I can improve the speed ot the edge tool? When I add I have to put it on all the adges around an object....any suggestions?

Select all the edges you need to split, alt+right click on one edge and choose Split edges (split with edge control).
Tweak the operator as needed.
