I also cover the plant editor quite a bit in my Advanced EcoSystems (http://www.studioartfx.com/Training/files/advanced-ecosystems.html) tutorial video. You can go a long way to creating variations of the available trees in Vue and even go as far, with some texturing prowess, to creating new species entirely your own.

asilefx:These lessons, I watched. I meant the creation of the tree completely, but in lessons it is only to change the texture.

You can't exactly create a solid growth plant from nothing. You will notice, even the original trees from other vendors on Cornucopia, are just standard objects and cannot be effected by the plant editor.

The key to get a tree you want is to find the solid growth tree closest to it and then edit that plant, plus changing its textures to make into the plant you want.

I made a reference chart for tree sizes, variations, sub-sets, and other information. You can download it from this page (http://www.asilefx.net/catalog/free_stuff.php), it may help you decide. (its on the bottom of the page.)
