First Dreamworks' Dragon, now this... looks like another interesting slate for animation fans - complemented with TS3 2010 looks good already:)

Made me laugh, hopefully the full film stands up to the quality of the trailer.

Still feels like it might have been done just for the trailer, the pacing is odd, kind of like in the first teaser..but it's nice to get some more plot elements in there, some great character stuff going on too, love the faces.
Seems like it could be fun in a Spy vs. Spy with a dash of Incredibles kind of way.

i really like the character design. hopefully the story holds up. another cg film i'm looking forward to!
it did seem like some of the shots weren't finished. there were a couple of spots where the animation didn't look like it had the final polish yet.

Ya the celebrity listing was a bit much for me... Like I was going to see a CG flick simply because the cast is voiced by known celebrities?
ugh..
The movie looks slick though.

I guess it is companies trying to appeal to the parents, or trying to "legitimize" their movie by listing the names of actors we may recognize. I don't know why, but the marketing departments of movies do this all the time. Little kids certainly don't know who Will Arnett is by name, even if I do.
But I thought the animation for this movie stands on its own. Great work.
Even without the voice list, I was intrigued by the setup and the gags. It reminds me of good old warner brothers cartoons with the extreme "acme" dynamite, rockets, and guns. I could almost feel the classic Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck rivalry in there.
Fun stuff!

I think it was just a character based teaser trailer. Here is the plot description from the Apple website:
In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon (Yes, the moon!) in Universal’s new 3-D CGI feature, Despicable Me. Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. The world’s greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.
