all lights should work fine... I have had no problems with any lights. Even dponts lights bake fine.

ok sorry i didnt explain myself very well..

what i want is a lighting setup that just produces a flat lighting setup that wont
bake shadows and spec etc into the colour map..

I know i can turn off shadows and spec etc however i was just looking for alternatives.

cheers

yesterday I did just that. You can turn off all lights, and turn the diffuse to 0% in all surfaces and the luminosity to 100%, That will be enough I guess.

render buffer view /export... You can bake and save out all buffers at once or just the ones you need.
