View Full Version : multiple ecosystems on one material error

Hi there, I was wondering if there was any way to have multiple ecosystems on a material.
I am fairly new to Vue, and I was creating a custom mixed material I applied an ecosystem layer and added a rock, then tried to add another rock layer and it said that I couldn't 'place the same item several times in a given EcoSystem population' and that I had to adjust the presence value.
But this doesn't give me the result i'm looking for.
I am trying to have a mixed material with 3 different types of rock on it (3 varying sizes, density, orientation etc of rocks)

Any ideas on this

Thx

What kind of rocks re we talking about? Vue native rocks or imported rock objects? You could have imported rock objects on different layers, but not Vue rocks. If you have Vue rocks, there are many possibilities to modify their shapes and colours, and density using variable functions.

Thx for replying bruno021, I found a work around (not sure if its correct) but I added another ecosystem layer that was premade (it was transparent apart from some stone walls, which I removed and replaced with my rocks)
Seems to be working fine.

Although I have a new problem now which I have posted as another thread!
