Looks like a fun project. Interested to see how the animation holds up based on the design of the mech, mainly in the knees and ankles. Unless you don't mind the interpentration, the current design won't allow for the other 2 axis of rotation (twist and tilt in the ankle for example).
Neat muzzle flash, fluid sim?

Im working on some joint redesigns now. It is also built with ground detection to make the animation process a bit easier. I think the camera cuts will be too quick to notice the ankles interpenetrating its geometry but Ill fix that anyway to save me headaches in the future in case it is noticeable. Thanks, the muzzle flash is just FumeFX driven by a particle system. Its still a WIP. Ill update soon.

I spent a few hours yesterday playing with Rayfire, FumeFx, Afterburn, and PFlow Box#2...
Its still a WIP, I need to redo the afterburn sim. because the smoke is choppy. It was also a bit of an animation walk cycle test to see how the mech warrior would walk.

hey man , i like a lot your mech animation
but i think you should correct the flame of the muzzle flash , first of all its too big gor a gattling gun , could have work if it was for the big canon
also in a muzzle flash , there is a lot of smoke you can add
keep it up

Thanks Neon67! Ill work on that flame and get some smoke in there!
In the meantime, here are some random simulations I made yesterday using 3ds Max, FumeFx, Rayfire, Pflow Box 2, and Realflow. My computer kept crashing for the flame simulation, and I had to dial back the quality of the flame.

Here's another effect I made for one of my VFX courses. I used 3ds Max, Reactor, Pflow Box#2, and Rayfire. It was composited in AfterEffects.
