I hear that there was a render engine or some kind of anti alising plug in that works with Ink N' Paint so when you render out a still image the lines are "less jagged" for lack of a better term. Does any one know what it's called or where to find it?

you can just make sure super sampling is turned on the material, use hammersly at high setting will do the job, failing that final toon is much better, as is illustrate 5.1

I'm assuming that hammersly is an anti alising option but that doesn't show up in my pull down window. Letting it render now.

The lines are still kind of jagged. The majority of the problem is the image being reflected in a raytraced mirror. I have the diffuse set to black and the specular set to white so it's completly reflective and the lines are breaking apart in the reflection.

post a picture of the problem.

Hey, I know there are alot of people out there that don't take there time to look at Ink N' Pen renders.

But, if you get a chance, purchase finalRender Stage-1, finalToon comes with it, and I promise you, you will not be disatified. FinalToon is a toon shader, this also supports the ink n' pen renders you would like to see too.

There is also a better anti-aliasing tool built into finalRender.

It is jagged because you have not turned on antialiasing in the raytracing options. When you raytrace WITH antialiasing, then you will get no jaggies.

PS. Hammersley SS is locatded in the material editor.

you need to turn on super sampling on the reflective material as knut said. but having it on the ink and paint helps too. its found in the supersampling rol out on the material. hamesly is the strongest. most of the time max 2.5 star will surfice, i would recommend to use max 2.5 star on glass or reflective materials, otherwise if you use the others it will take weeks to render.
:lightbulb

p.s you dont need to switch antialiasing on in the raytrace settings, although its an option, this will antialias everything and take for ever. supersamling on reflecting materials will suffice.

Got the lines to look right, thnaks for the help, now it's taking about a day to render (but it looks good).
