TetsuoShima 08-16-2003, 02:54 AM hey, I want to learn to draw with corel painter 8 (Ive heard its so good) but I dont have any background skills on drawing.
I want to learn to draw for doing 3D model designs.
any of you guys knows where can I get into learning this art? :)

Yes, dont start on the computer, go to a college, but minaly just draw on paper. Just because you have the program doesnt mean that it will be good.

Your giving up at 21? When most people go to school at age 19. Im 20, granted ive been in college now for 2 years, and i go to school with many people whop are older then me. Just look for accelerated college programs, for instance its not the best college around but i go to the Art Institue of Phoenix, inst6ead of a 4 year programm its 3.
Heck if anything take some community college corses. As far as tutrials, hmm i guess you can search the net. Those CDS for learnign the progs are nice as well, a bit pricey but worth it some times. Drawing books are nice, but mainly just start getting ALOT of expereince thats the only thing you can do.
Just start working hard at it, setting goals, ect..
