Hey folks its been a while since I was last here.

But my problem today is how to go about setting a standard biped skeleton with scope for stretchy limbs and a stretchy neck.

Ive been animating about 4 years now and stretchiness is something i've never really thought of needing until now but my character will need some quite involved and empahisized actions.

I've had a look at the the Setup machine. And while I love its functionality, developing my own understanding of stretchiness mechanics in Maya seems more important than just paying for a ready-made alternative.

Thanks in advance.

Its simple once you get the "thinking right", like this if you´re scaling the joints which is my preffered method

Measure the distances. Make sure it updates when things move.
Divide the original length with itself = now you have the "scalefactor"
Plug that into the joints that will stretch

That concept goes for everything.
