Built in 3DStudio Max 9
Images I've include are the front view of the house, my main reference image, and a texturing test.

My demo reel is in a sorry state right now so I'm giving it a make over.
I'm looking for the best way to go about texturing this lovely little old house. I used reference images to ensure proper proportions.
I built the main house, roof, balconies, proch etc seperately and attached the elements to make one object for easy unwrapping. This house is going to be old and little scruffy, but not damaged. I attached a test image of what I'm going to do for the siding - normal and spec maps were used.
I'm wondering if I should use subobject material for this or just unwrap and plug in the appropriate spec and bump maps?
Was creating seperate objects and using attach to most effective way of building this?
I also contemplated just using planes with alpha maps for the spindles on the balconies but I hate how flat it would look. If this house had more floors I might do that. What are your thoughts?
