Hi,

When I set up photometirc lights in 3dsmax, I sometimes get a very dark render after the radiosity calculation has been performed. So much so that I have to increase to intensity values by so much that it appears very very VERY bright in the viewport to get a reasonably lit scene. This is rendering through a viewport and not a camera.

Can anyone help?

Cheers.

Have you checked your exposure controls?

Yep, use some filter with exposure control in the enviroment settings.

I recommend the log one instead of linear. But depends on your situation.

Also, try to build models using the right scale will have better radiosity.
