Not sure what you're looking for by posting this here, but for being just short of five years development this isn't a very good showing. By that I mean, the vid only show a scene, basic post (video settings). One must expect gameplay and compelling art from such a video.

The art is all over the place. The conceptual stuff shows promise with a comic style. The environments materials are barely beyond a Google image search. Characters lack consistency, with the steampunk guy (?) standing out in quality above the rest.

Again, not sure what you want to hear, but you guys need two things: a programmer interested in gameplay and someone that understands game art.

Hi!

Thanks for the critique! Thats what i wanna hear ^^.

Oh i forgot to say, that this Project is a Hobby-gamedev-project. All the Screens and the Video are Work in Progress. Thats why the characters are not consistent and the steampunk-guy is standing out with his look.

Thats the stuff we put our hands on in the next months.

As the previous poster has said, i don't really see what you are doing with this project aafter 5 years? The art is flat, very flat and boring, the filters you appear to be using in the video don't really seem to do much apart from brightness and contrast, the buildings lack detail, even the basic stuff like baked vertex ambient occlusion would be a start etc, zero shadows anywhere, looks like everything is floating without them. Terrain is completely flat with clearly visible tiling textures, level design looks dull, one straight street and thats it? after 5 years?

You really need someone thats into game art and understands how whatever game engine your using works and how to get the best out of it, best of luck, are you looking to make a full game or a community mod like thing, if so, i highly suggest picking up cryengine or unreal 3 for a start.

I dunno, before jumping into harsh teardowns over how long its taken to get to this point, how many people are on the development team? How much knowledge did the team have at the start to now? Was this a learning project from the ground up for one person? Was this something worked on for a little bit a week in between paying jobs?

There may be answers on the website, but my German is pretty bad. And by bad I mean I don't speak German at all anymore.

There are a number of potential factors that could contribute to the long development time. That said, everything still needs to be pushed a lot further. I don't really have anything new to add to the critiques already mentioned.
