oh my god, how does one go about modelling something intricate like that, do you start with a basic shape and carve the forms out of it or do you model them straight on?

I to would love to know how you went about creating this masterpiece, from a 3D perspective and from a drawing/design stage. With so many complex formations of detail overlapping and twisting around one another, how to you figure out what goes where from a design stage, more over how do you go about creating a drawing for that that can be used as an accurate template???. I've tried doing futuristic techie stuff myself and find it tricky to draw what I'm envisioning in my head. Do you have any special tricks or techniques to conceive such a complex design? PLZ

Nice details,clean model.I would like to see a little organic looking skin come texture time.I think that would really take it to the next level.A nice mix of organic and metal parts.Anyways nice work.:thumbsup:

your modeling is pretty damn good, but sa far as the design goes, I don't like it too much. I find it almost pointless.... like your trying to stick some random doodad (a screw, a wire, a crease) in any open space that you find; and I think its too cluttered... I think when your making a character, design is half and execution is half... you certainly got the modeling skills to execute, but I don't like the design of this perticular character.

very cool model! and rather freaky idea...
something that I couldn't help noticing was that the screw used to attach the skull to the mechanical part is still there when it detaches... just a small detail! :D

Well the speack outs in my mind say .. that .. with a big dosis of manga design .. in the best possible sketching ..
« because that kind of design .. you must draw it by hand first in the paper .. then follow the draw design lines ..
And good modeling detail and concept junction program

Hum hum ^^ its funny you just have to be one of the goodiest hand drawers outhere .. and concept draw sketch manga animation designers .. to understand the grade of work doing and how to do things in the essence of your creations ..
I must have to thank you for your post … without this wireframe and the without texture model it would be so hard to imagine and to work similar quality …

The least it could be said its that you will have here competition .. ^^ sooner or latter ..
Im just joking .. in modeling ,, whatever I can or not you will always be the master .. and I the student …
Sooo .. now .. we just have to see how much your value in the hard part .. modeling its easy .. even in this grade .. comparing with the absurd texturing and composition this work grade need ..
And that really would be a challenge more than anything or anyone that could stand in front of you ..

hehe, dolmuji, you're the man. You work hard, and it pays well! You have a unique style; but I'd love to see you move onto something more organic... same feel, but more organic.. like advanced cyborgs which don't need screws and plastic anymore.
