View Full Version : Net render texture paths

I have a net render setup that I have working in a semi-cross platform environment. My PCs with Win2k work well, and chew through the frames I throw at them. The macs on the otherhand tend to crash out more often than not, but that isn't my big problem. What I am having a problem with is that I am having problems using the Net servers base texture folder instead of the individual texture folders in each project. I would prefer to do this, because I am rendering a long complex scene which uses several frame sequences derived from video as textures for a couple of objects. I have added the qualified network path of the tex folder on the server to the texture path in the file while I was working on it. If someone could help me to figure out what I am doing wrong here it would be a great help as it would save me over 10Gb of space on my server when I only have 2 jobs sitting there for rendering.

---found this in Postforum:
Hi,
place them in a directory that is available over the network and set the texture path to it. Then take the CINEMA 4D.prf file and copy it to the Net Server and Clients. They are now able to find the textures directly at their original position.
