Hey peeps,

Wow!! Its been a while since i have posted here. I got some free time and thought i would work on a quadruped run cycle using the bull rig. I tried to do two different cycles. One of the cycles is a puppy dog run and the other is more serious. Let me know what you think. Thanks a bunch.

Hey thanks Niels!!

I enjoyed doing that cycle. Does anyone else have any other feedback?

your weight and mechanics are fine. Concentrate on how you can make it more interesting and fun. Add some twist in the back and the head. Give a bigger offset from the butt to the top of the spine on all 3 axis not just 1.

Hey Jesse,

Thanks for the feedback!!! I definitely see what you are saying. I haven't put in that extra spice as yet. Thanks again.

the timing is great, but you could make it move a bit more. Like more exagerated, right now looks too sedated. What are you animating in?

I'd love to have a go at animating that beast.

^ Agreed.. move the hips/root more. It needs more body rotation. Other than that I'm really likin the animation. Keep it up!

Hey Vozzz,

Thanks for the feedback man. I am animating in Maya 2008. I found this rig on Highend 3D. It works pretty well.

Hey mistasam02,

When you talk about body rotation are you speaking about both cycles? Thanks for the critique man. I appreciate it.

Yea in both cycles the sections of his body between the shoulders and hips aren't moving that much. It would be tricky, but you could put some rotation on the root control (hips/waist/wherever it is) and then counter animate the rest of the body. Right now his torso is just looking a little stiff through the motions.
