View Full Version : Need help in max, rig act weirdly

Hi

I've been provided a skeleton to model over it and simple man.

I'm using Max 9

My model is a poly, closed and free from holes ....
the skeleton seems mesh objects linked together, so i used the skin modifier to the mesh

but it act very weird when i first test it (see the screen shots)
im only rotating the right forearm and the hold body move and squeeze

i edited the enveloppe of the trunc to include all vertices of course , but it's the same result.

help please

you havent set any vertex weight or bone envelope at all.

thanks for reply

that seemed weired cause i used to rig with physique many time and i didn't have to weight each vertex in the beginning: i adjust the envelope then finetune vertex.
This time enveloppe didn't do anything and weighted each vertex to get it ! That's bizarre that skin didn't evolved to make rigging easier.

sorry for asking such a noob question
