Hello everybody!

I worked on a vanilla walk cycle for about two hours yesterday and I'd like to post the result for some feed back. I'm planning to put it on my demo reel since I'm removing the current walk cycle I have.

Thanks in advance.

That's not bad.

I sense his arms and shoulders are hitting their extremes too solidly, it's almost like they are twitching into position.

The feet don't seem to be traveling backward at a consistent rate, it looks like they pause a bit before they lift off the ground.

Thanks for the critique Robert!

I totally agree about the foot and the shoulders. I'll apply your comments on the new cycle I'll be doing. ;)

The initial bit that stood out to me was how the arms and the chest are moving in unison. Try offsetting the motion of the arms one or two frames from the chest, as if the chest is dragging them along. That may help with some of the rigidity mentioned previously.

Also, it feels like his body is really far back in regards to his foot placement. The entire walk really happens in front of his body. Try playing with different positions, moving him forward a bit at a time.
