Hello there.
A character we are are animating has large ears which are driven by a hairSystem.
Because render layers keep breaking in Maya we've had to split each pass into a seperate render maya scene.
So each render scene references the same animation file. When each render file is saved, maya duplicates the hair cache and tags the current scene name onto the name of the cache on disk.
The result of this is now each render scene is using a duplicate of the same cache. Very frustrating when animation needs to change and all passes need to be rerendered.
My question is.. is there a way to make multiple scenes access the same hair cache?
Thanks,
Andy
