First image I'll post actually isn't a sketch haha, but it's one I did recently trying to make the pose more interesting and the body-shape more realistic after the critique I received.

The 'free' hand will have a gun shoved in it eventually.

Will upload more proper 'sketches' soon.

Heya.

I'm posting another character design that I started from a sketch-pose. I'm really interested in hearing what people have to say about the pose and whether they think it looks interesting and realistic, so feedback would be appreciated :) I've fiddled with the image time and time again repositioning the legs and I'm not quite sure if there's something wrong, and if there is what is causing it. Oh and I know the head is a bit too small, am already on correcting it.

Thanks in advance.

Hey welcome,
the problem i see is not mainly in pose but in character.it is busy at places it shudnt be like elbow join of the free hand and then the wrist joint looks wrong.as far as interesting pose is concerned its good.in my opinion,it can be improved if you pull back the free hand parallel to the hand holding the sword, which is a very nice looking one btw :D

Thanks for the feedback :D

I'm trying to position the 'free' arm similarly to the arm holding the sword now so that the hand is positioned similarly, just going to use the rotate tool on the lower section of the arm.

I'll also upload a version of it with a similar pose but with the lightning effect that I was meant to be put in the free hand but didnt get to yet (which is something I should've included in the description) to compare!
