Hey guys, just made this quick normal map test character. He's weighing in at about 300 faces or so. Using a 512x512 world space normal map that was generated from a hi res model.

Diffuse texture to come soon ;)

Normal maps are so cool (what did you use BTW?).. Does the low polygon model have enough vertices to animate correctly though?

oXYnary - i used a beta version of mankua's kaldera plugin. And crytek's poly bump previewer.

It should have enough verts, depends how smooth you want it to look :)

dur: i know i know! haha got too much stuff on the go right now, i was originally just gonna focus on the hi-res version, but we'll see ;)

looks great, did you use multires the generate the low poly model or jsut make it ?
