Hi everyone, i have decided to work on my dragon a little further and refined the sketch a little. I still haven't figured out the background yet but just did something simple really fast. Comments welcome, thanks.

Here i am adding scales to the dragon. At the same time adding in the ground effect of skull heads to make it look more fantastic and creepy. More to come on my character.

Two things --
Since the woman reclining against the dragon appears to be the crux of the picture I'd suggest you work on her placement before getting too involved with the detail of the dragon. BTW there's what looks like a weeping woman in the bottom of the frame. I assume the dragon lady is threatening her and the dragon is her "enforcer"?
Also, there's something odd about the shading inside the dragon's mouth. It should run almost parallel to edge of his mouth but doesn't. Also, there's no tongue.
Looks interesting, though. Is there a story behind it?

Hi Christopher,
The story of the mystical dragon girl starts in a medieval time. Inspired by the famous childs book, " Jane and the Dragon". She grows up training to become a knight she discovers a compainion by her side a 300 year old dragon that helps her every step of the way.
The dragon i have created is also an inspiration of the kimodo dragon. Here is a picture of the creature. I just made him more dramatic but everything you see here is virtual the same as the real dragon himself. I will work on the girl and upload a new pic soon, take care for now.

Your lighting is off - your komodo has the light strongly from the top left, but the skulls are lit from a spotlight straight down. It will confuse you as you shadow the rest of the image so in your shoes I'd spend some time blocking in shadows and highlights now so it all hangs together before you do any more detailing (p.s. nice job on his mouth by the way)
